The Kung Fu Shelf is a rare and dynamic piece that merges the fluidity of martial arts with functional design. Produced in an extremely limited quantity, this bookshelf is a faithful remake of an original design from 1982 by Susi and Ueli Berger. With no original plans available, the reconstruction relied on simple drawings, paintings, and archival images, making the process highly time-consuming. Each of the ten 3D moulded shelves interlocks precisely, without the need for screws, creating a sturdy yet visually light structure. The design features subtle curves and the unmistakable feel of brush strokes, capturing the artistic essence of its creators. The vibrant colors reflect the spirit of the era and the name "Kung Fu," adding a bold yet harmonious touch to the piece. The Kung Fu Shelf stands as a testament to both the ingenuity of its designers and the meticulous craftsmanship of the artisans, offering a unique and aesthetically striking addition to any space.
