A Lifetime with Rö – Kurt Strub transitions to Part-Time Retirement after 46 Years

For an incredible 46 years, Kurt Strub has been an integral part of our company. Since joining on April 2, 1979, he has worked alongside three generations of the Röthlisberger family.

What started as a traditional carpentry career soon developed into a key role in the production, development, and design of the Röthlisberger Kollektion. His expertise in wood and leather has contributed to many of the collection’s most iconic pieces.

But Kurt’s impact goes far beyond his craftsmanship. Over the years, we have shared countless memories. Fortunately, he is not leaving us entirely. He will continue to support us two days a week, lending his expertise in calculations and remaining a valued colleague.

We thank him for his decades of dedication, loyalty, and friendship and look forward to many more moments together.

Solar energy

Sustainability is key for Röthlisberger! Having completed the heating of the entire production facility and offices on the company premises with pellets made from production waste, we have now invested in a large photovoltaic system. From March onwards, the company’s entire power consumption requirements will be met by solar panels and the electricity that these generate. This is a further commitment to the production location that is Switzerland and to sustainable operational management. More information is given under “Our values”.
