West Village Townhouse
From the narrow, dark rooms of a typical West Village Townhouse, Röthlisberger, in collaboration with Haute Architecture, was able to create a bright oasis in minimalist design. Röthlisberger planned and executed the entire interior fittings over four stories. The core of the building, with an elevator shaft and staircase, was covered all around with oak panels from the bottom to the top of the building. Additionally, a powder room, pantry, wardrobe, kitchen cabinets, and closets has been incorporated into the panel and is hidden from sight. The oak veneer for the core panel has been specifically dyed for this project to reach a uniform coloring over all four floors.
