We were delighted to welcome numerous visitors to the House of Switzerland during the Milan Design Week and present our latest products.

Swiss design once again had a strong presence at the House of Switzerland this year. The pop-up exhibition took place in the heart of Milan at Casa degli Artisti in Brera. Six Swiss brands presented the theme “Urgent Legacy”: Embru, Lehni, Lichtprojekte, schindlersalmeron, Seledue and Rö.

We introduced our new table design Winku by Marc Gerber and were very pleased with the positive feedback.

After two years, we finally welcomed guests again at this year’s Lauberhorn race last weekend. After flying to Wengen by helicopter, we enjoyed the exciting races with delicious fondue and wine. This is our annual way to thank our customers and partners for their trust and appreciated collaboration. We look forward to keeping on celebrating together – whether it’s a successful project, partnership or simply shared experiences.

During Orgatec Cologne last week, we welcomed numerous visitors from all over Europe to the Design Post. It was a pleasure to present our new products Conte and Rik and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Torsio chair family. Thank you very much!

We had the pleasure to present our new products at the largest design platform in Switzerland from 15-18 September 2022. Many thanks to the numerous visitors for their interest and the great conversations. We are already looking forward to 2024!

During this years “Milano Design Week”, which takes place from 7th to 12th June, swiss design has a strong presence in the “House of Switzerland”. The pop-up exhibition will take place in the heart of Milan at the Casa degli Artisti in Brera. Design Miami/Basel 2021 had a lot of inspiring and new things to offer last week. In the Collectors’ Lounge by USM x Rö, you could meet and relax in a wonderful atmosphere, amongst the world of plants and cool chrome of USM Haller and the warm timber furniture of Röthlisberger Kollektion.

The Torsio family has been part of our collection for close to twenty years now. Now we are excited to introduce a re-design of the iconic Torsio barstool. The slightly adjusted dimensions provide improved seating comfort, and the new design gives the barstool an updated look. It can easily be combined with the Torsio chair as well as other furniture.

The entire Torsio range is now also available in oak natural effect lacquer, a slightly lighter natural shade with additional UV protection to prevent the yellowing of the oak. This finish has received great feedback from numerous other products of our collection.

With its sculptural appearance and highest manufacturing quality, the drawer stack has been inspiring design lovers for almost forty years. And every piece produced is absolutely unique. Now, after almost 40 years, the furniture sculpture designed by Susi and Ueli Berger is experiencing a small revolution: the design classic is now available in a limited edition of only 15 new pieces in Swiss walnut. To do justice to the original design idea, Swiss walnut with similar wild wood characteristics was selected and carefully assembled by hand in Gümligen. For inquiries please contact E-Mail

Susi and Ueli Berger made design classics. For the Röthlisberger Kollektion, furniture such as the Fächermann or the iconic Stack of drawers were made, which is still unparalleled in terms of design and quality and has been sold all over the world since 1982. At present, in Gümligen furniture carpenters are passionately producing the umpteenth series of this classic; this is worth a visit to our manufactory.

A new catalogue of works and an exhibition have open up a comprehensive view of Susi and Ueli Berger’s furniture for the first time.

• The exhibition “Pa-Dong! – The furniture of Susi and Ueli Berger” can be seen until August 19 at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich in the Toni-Areal.
• The catalogue of works “Susi and Ueli Berger – Furniture in Dialogue”, edited by Anna Niederhäuser and Mirjam Fischer, has been published by Scheidegger and Spiess.

We are excited to have won the coveted Design Prize Switzerland in the Furniture Category with the reinterpretation of the traditional «Stabellö» chair. The modern and functional variation of the classic chair design by designer Tomoko Azumi convinced the international jury on November 3rd in Langenthal. designpreis.ch

Our «Stabellö» includes important elements of the traditional chair from the Alpine region: the seat and the turned legs are still made of solid wood. However, it astounds with an innovative and comfortable backrest. Made from plywood and shaped in three dimensions, the backrest is no longer anchored but connected to the seat by means of a visible screw attachment. «Stabellö» stands for tradition in conjunction with innovative craftsmanship – and cuts a good figure everywhere, in the loft, in the chalet or in the old-fashioned parlour.

The «Design Preis Schweiz» is awarded every two years for «outstanding Swiss design». Out of 45 nominations, 13 winning projects were selected. The focus was on products, projects and services which consider design not just as a «form or colour-giving process», but as a means to solve problems «in a comprehensive and expedient manner».

Together with Tomoko Azumi, we are celebrating the «Design Preis Schweiz 2017/18» and look forward to continue inspiring juries and customers with innovative and timeless designs.

We are happy to announce, that with Ovolo & Stabellö two products of Röthlisberger Kollektion have been nominated for the Swiss Design prize 2017/18.

Fifty Takushi tables in 10 different finishes were commissioned by PWC Australia. Gavin Harris is not only the designer behind the Takushi table, but as Design Director at Futurespace also responsible for the highly innovative interior fit out at PWC Australia.

Our long standing partner Anibou looked after the project on site in both Sydney and Melbourne to guarantee a smooth end to end customer experience.

Most of the tables had custom-made table boxes that have been cut out directly from the solid wood tops. The largest table measured 530cm in length and 250cm in width – made from one tree trunk.

Since its official launch at imm cologne in January, the Block 2 lamp by Henry Pilcher has received much attention in media reports and articles. You will find several excerpts from these media articles in Switzerland and abroad in the gallery.

Röthlisberger Kollektion has been exhibiting on a permanent basis at Design Post Cologne since January 2015. Situated in the immediate vicinity of imm cologne, the renowned interiors exhibition, the showroom presents an interesting mix of international brands and is a tremendous source of inspiration for design aficionados and trade visitors. Last year Röthlisberger Kollektion in partnership with Trix and Robert Haussmann were commissioned to stage a special exhibition in the Kunsthalle in Freiburg. The exhibition presented items of furniture in the Röthlisberger Kollektion from between 1978 and 1992, mirrors from the 1980s, plus mirrored furniture that was specially designed for the spaces of the Kunsthalle. These mirrored furniture items are now on display in galleries in Switzerland and England and are now also available directly from Röthlisberger Kollektion on request.
